Knopf, 1965. First Edition. . Hardcover. Good/Acceptable. Cockerell by Blunt, Wilfrid Knopf, 1965, lst. Hardback in good condition with fair dust jacket. Text is clean and unmarked, binding tight. Cloth cover is clean; dust jacket shows signs of wear with dings, nicks small tears. Cockerell was director of the Fitzwilliam Museum at Cambridge. He was friends to George B. Shaw, Ruskin, William Morris and secretary to the Kelmecott Press. In his 95 years he saw it all in the world of writers. Literary executor to Tomas Hardy and Lawrence of Arabia as well being a recognized authority on medieval manuscripts. This book was taken from his personal diary kept over a 70 year dealing with writers and books.
