Herbert Jenkins, 1923. Book. Good. hardback. Inscribed by Author(s). hardback, 4th impression, pictorial brown cloth lettered brown, lacking dust wrapper, a tightly bound copy with some foxing to the pre-lims. An interesting example, inscribed and signed we believe by 'Robert', 'Here is to good 'ealth from Robert T T , 7th am at Le Zoute' (please see images). Emphasis is placed on the writing of 'T.T.' but we are unsure as to the meaning. Robert was working at the Embassy Club at the time of the publication of his famous book in 1922, but returned during its release to Belgium where he opened a bar in his birthplace of Knokke, Le Zoute. The bar was very successful until the Great Depression of 1929 & eventually it closed in 1930..
