Albumen stereo photographs, each mounted 2 by 2 on light yellow-coloured studio board with rounded corners, 4 with handwritten description in ink or pencil on verso, 2 with extensive explanatory text printed on verso and 1 without a description.

All stereoviews in a beautiful condition, from a Dutch collection formed pre-1870. One stereoview shows the clothing company of 'Heidt, Jaudon Co.'.

Biographical and historical narratives with many full-page engravings. 9" x 11". Some scuffing to leather and light wear to extremities, and light chipping to top of spine of volume 2. A very good plus copy of this beautifully produced work.
