Red coloured tint to the top block edge. Light of rubbing to the book corners. Light browning and very faint foxing to the text of edges. Previous owner's name across the full width of the free front end paper. Illustrated dustwrapper, by Tom Adams, with black titles to the front panel and the backstrip. Rubbing and a little chipping to the dustwrapper corners. Rubbing to the other edges of the dustwrapper and there is a similar .25 " tear to the top left-hand corner of the rear dustwrapper panel. There is a smaller tear to the top right-hand corner of the rear backstrip corner. There has been yellowing and handling marks to the rear dustwrapper panel. Clipping of the dustwrapper, all four corners. On the verso of the dustwrapper a few foxing spots with some handling marks. The classic novel by John Fowles about an inadequate young man who kidnaps a young woman to study. This is the first UK edition. Size: 12mo (standard paperback). Dust Jacket price-clipped.
