London: F. & C. Rivington, 1804. wraps. Good. In original sewn wraps which are soiled and worn, juvenile insciptions of 1806, some creased and dog-eared corners. 47 pages with table of contents in rear. Printed by Bye and Law, St John's Square, Clerkenwell. Published for the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge for whom the Rivington's were booksellers. Supplied to "preserve the Morals of the Children in the Charity Schools and impress their minds with an early piety.." A scarce religious publication. None at the British Library or the WorldCat. The British Library has 2 similiar publications--1799, York and 1837, no place. Inscription is by Edward Guilding, Elmore. Elmore is a village in Gloucestershire where the Guilding's have been in residence since at least the 1650's. Every effort is made to ship all books and other items within 24 hours.
