Edinburgh, 1852. Pamphlet. Very good condition. A rare pocket almanac replete with much practical information on shipping, banking, importing, emigration & agriculture to British colonies. This is just the kind of information an emigrant might need in considering where they might emigrate to. Indeed, the three Lilburne brothers emigrated from Arngask, Scotland to Victoria, South Australia and New Zealand about this time. Shipping information to Australia list docking at King Georges Sound, Adelaide, Port Phillip and Sydney. Other British colonies include Canada, West Indies, Mediterranean and Africa, Mauritius, Hong Kong, Ceylon, Labuan, Falkland Islands, Helgioland and New Zealand is bundled with Australia.

A high end production, with the wrappers and the first 16 ff lithographed in copper type by S. Leth of Edinburgh. 12.5 cm [iii]pp & engraved wrappers. A little spotting on the cover. All edges gilt, perfect bound.
