Illustrated with cuts, engravings and manuscript facsimiles, some tipped in to stubs and colored leaves. With index to Volume I. Laid in leaflets: subscription form "About the Colophon's Second Year," and "Original Drawings by Donald McKay" exhibition at Pynson Printers.Two thousand printed for subscribers. Untrimmed signatures from several printers bound in illustrated paper covered boards. Moderate toning to edges, corners gently bumped, covers lightly scuffed, variable age tone offsetting to tipped-in illustrations. Withal, a nicer copy than we usually see. Fourth number of the venerable book lovers' quarterly, including contributions from Alfred W. Pollard, Francis Meynell, Edwin Arlington Robinson, Stephen Crane in a letter facsimile, and a signature of Dard Hunter new cotton handmade paper. Printers include Bruce Rogers, Helen Gentry, Oxford University Press, Curwen Press, Harbor Press, and Pynson Printers.
