Flagstaff, Ariz.: Northland Press, [1973]. xiv, [2], 76 pages. Original tan cloth. [26.8 cm.] Light scattered foxing to prelims and end matter; a few faint traces scattered elsewhere; else fine in near fine jacket. Jacket shows minor traces of foxing. FIRST EDITION. One of 1,750 copies printed. PRESENTATION INSCRIPTION, by the author and his wife, on the half-title, reading as follows: "For Eleanor, A good neighbor -- may there never be any fences between our estates -- and may it always be true that good cats make good neighbors. With affection -- Bruce and Hattie." The recipient was Eleanor Jeffrey Schoberlin of Phoenix. There is also an autograph note signed by Hattie Babbitt, thanking Mrs. Schoberlin for cat-sitting, written on a copy of a news article discussing the Babbitts, laid-in. In addition there is a manuscript invitation to a campaign event with the Babbitts from Noel Fidel (later an Arizona Superior and Appeals Court judge) and his wife Anne, addressed to Mrs. Schoberlin, in an envelope postmarked May, 1978. Bruce Edward Babbitt (b. 1938) served as Governor of Arizona (1978-1987) and as the U.S. Secretary of the Interior (1993-2001).
