About This Item

[Chicago]: American-Marietta Company, 1958. First edition. 11x7" 16pp. Printed in several pastel colors, with illustrations, two pages of mounted samples, and 4 brad-bound sample palettes, each roughly 20 pages, 4x2" and with technical info on versos, laid in mounted pockets as issued. Spiral bound in printed card wrappers with samples mounted to front cover, under glassine protector. Some waviness to pages, hints of smudging and wear. Near fine.

A beautiful piece of mid-century advertising from the American-Marietta Corporation of Chicago.  The book is written as a manual for architects showing how the company's paints, complete with technical information, are best used in different lighting environments.  American-Marietta was active from 1940-1961.
