Denver: State Historical Society, 1906. First Edition. Octavo. . 159pp., illustrated. This work is the first circumstantially complete history of the New Mexico Campaign and the Colorado volunteers yet published. The first engagement in La Glorieta Pass usually has been known in Colorado as the "Apache Canon Fight", and the second as the "Battle of Pigeon's Ranch". A very good copy bound in gray wrappers printed in black, light wear to spine ends, bottom corner of front wrap scraped. [ Howes W378, Rittenhouse, 642.].
