Paris (nd, ca.1894): Alphonse Lemerre, Editeur, 1878. Limited Edition. 12mo. One only 45 numbered copies, our copy is out of series, not numbered, 376(1)pp., printed by A. Quantin, bound in 1/4 black morocco over marbled paper covered boards, raised bands, spine lettering and top edge gilt, marbled endpaper. Banville's poetry was admired for his delicate wit and fantasy. A very nice copy with light wear through to corners. A scarce work.
