Lynbrook, N.Y.: Boosey and Hawks, 1951. Georgiana Bannister's personal working score signed and inscribed the the composer, Matinu. Bannister was the star of the first world stage premier of this short opera at Hunter College, conducted by Carl Bamberger on Mat 28th, 1951. On page 27 the composer writes that because of his admiration of her singing he had added a new aria for her [note: about this same time, Bannister became the first artist to record for Electra Records]. Publishing date is a guess. Some sun fading on covers and some signs of rubbing on covers. Publication sticker is wripped at sides on title page. Red cloth over board. "Georgiana Bannister" has been gilt embossed on front cover. Many penciled and penned notes within from Bannister. Light foxing around page edge. Faded gilt texted title along spine. Book is solidly bound. 120 pp. Book is nearly 14" tall. . Signed and Inscribed by Composer. First Edition. Cloth. Good/No Dust Jacket. Folio - over 12" - 15" Tall. Musical Score.
