Slight crinkling to paper at gutter. Clean pages and illustrations with noticeable tanning and foxing throughout. Tightly bound with faint thumb marking throughout. Pen markings to front pastedown. Heavy black staining to top edge pages 184-240. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Slight crushing to spine ends. Visible wear marks to boards.

Contains black and white illustrations throughout. Pages are mildly tanned and foxed, but text remains clear. Visible marking to some pages throughout, including a few water stains, but text is not affected. Boards have heavy shelf-wear, with visible corner bumping and noticeable scuffing to edges. Noticeable crushing and slight splitting to spine ends. Heavy rubbing and scuffing overall, with visible marking also.

The binding is strong with all pages firmly attached. The end papers show some discoloration and the top corner is clipped from the first end paper. The pages are otherwise clean with no soiling, writing, or tears. The title page shows 1906 as the published date. The red cloth covers show light edgewear and light soiling. This old book looks and feels great! We always ship in a sturdy cardboard box!
