Straight, tight and clean with no markings, previous owner's bookplate and embossed stamp to front endpaper, very slight spine-end wear. Drawing from both American and German sources the authors' demonstrate how the establishment of a new policy of air superiority, when the previous efforts to control the air war with Germany by means of strategic bombing had met with limited success, eventually led to the ability of the Allied forces to invade France.
