A uncommon and beautiful work of natural history. Featuring several coloured plates and numnerous vignettes throughout, this book details the different varities of moths commonly found in Victorian England, their habits and their habitats. Contains ink inscription to front endpaper and blindstamp. In half morocco binding with paper boards and gilt detailing. Externally, the book is smart, with some very light wear to the extremities, joints and backstrip. Internally, there is some strain to the hinges and foxing to the enpapers. The pages are otherwise bright and clean throughout. Very Good
