Blue boards and spine with clean gilt titling and blind pressed Heinemann logo on back board. Pages clean with only a little foxing, mainly on edges.. 12mo (190 x 130 / 7_"" x 5""). Consisting of two acts (each of two scenes), the play revolves around an affair between Mary Rhodes and Clive Root, the book seller friend of her husband, Victor. The play takes place in the Rhodes family home and an Amsterdam guesthouse. It's first production was produced by John Gielgud in June 1959, with a cast including Ralph Richardson and Paul Scofield.
