Printed and sold at Mrs. Ashburner's China Shop, Yewd's Hat Warehouse, Kirk's Toyshop, Deard's Toyshop, by I. Pottinger, and by J. Williams. Collectible - Acceptable. Condition: Poor to Fair; The first edition, circa 1770. All leaves present! Large dampstain to front board. Light bowing, warping to boards front and back; also rubbing to edges, corners all over. Front hinge separated, held only by the endpapers. Back hinge is cracked along the leather, but holding. Some scuffs, additional dampstain to back cover. Pages age-toned, with finger-smudges throughout. Figures in a contemporary hand on the front pastedown and a faded gift inscription c. 1799 on a blank leaf. Signatures marked B-Z, AA-SS; 304, xvi pg. (final 15 pages are the index).
