Sidgwick & Jackson, London, 1933. Third Impression. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/Good. X, 168pp., last blank, index of first lines and facsimile of "The Soldier" held by British Museum. Sepia toned photographic frontispiece of author with tissue guard. A collection of 94 poems by the English poet Rupert Brooke, who was killed during action in World War I. Bound in dark blue cloth with facsimile gilt signature on front board and cream-coloured dust jacket which has sunned on the spine, and shows traces of insect damage to the front panel. Slight rubbing/chipping to the top and bottom of the spine section. Internally clean without foxing. Original bookseller's sticker on front fold over flap. Signature of Mary Herring 1933 on front free end page (later Dame Mary Herring). Size: 12mo (Small Hardcover). Please refer to accompanying picture (s). Quantity Available: 1. We seem to specialize in non mainstream stuff but read and stock Science-fiction, fantasy, detective fiction, history, biography and true crime, war, natural history. cooking, children's books and try to avoid current text books.We probably have the largest collection of Science Fiction, Penguins and general crime in Victoria in an open shop ( David has 8 bookcases 900mm x 2200mm of sf and f) ( Penny has 8 bookcases 1200mm x 2400 of sf and f )On shelf each shop has 30,000 plus books and we list over 30000 books online
