A Confederacy of Dunces by Toole, John Kennedy - 2000

Louisiana State University Press, Baton Rouge, 2000 Toole (1937-1969) wrote the manuscripts for two books before his death, The Neon Bible when he was sixteen, and later A Confederacy of Dunces. He was never able to get either one published. Dunces was finally published in 1980 because of the persistence of his mother and the help of author Walker Percy. There were seventeen printings of the 1980 edition. A twentieth anniversary edition was published in May 2000; the sale item is the stated eleventh printing from 2011. Tan cloth binding with red lettering on spine only. Binding tigt and square with no flaws. Unclipped dust jacket carries no price (Academic publisher) and has no flaws. 338 pages.
