Athens, Ohio: Black Studies Institute, Ohio University, 1970. Softcover. Near Fine. Volume 1, Number 1. Octavo. 79pp. Illustrated with black and white plates. Printed wrappers. Spine with a short tear at the crown (still sound) else near fine. Warmly Inscribed (without a recipient name) by editor Quincy Troupe on the title page [sic throughout]: "Eye cannat thank you enought far the goodness you have extended to me. Eye missed your Ohio U. reading because eye was out of town. With Respect and Admiration, Peace and Good Thought, Quincy Troupe, July 1970." Troupe is a noted African-American poet, editor, journalist, and professor, best known as a biographer of Miles Davis and co-author (with Chris Gardner) of *The Pursuit of Happyness*, basis for the 2006 movie starring Will Smith. *OCLC* locates seven serial holdings of of a three-volume run of *Confrontation* spanning 1970-1974 (five in the U.S.).
