First edition, first printing with "First Printing February 1924" stated on the copyright page. Published by B. J. Brimmer Company, Boston, 1924. Measures 5" x 7.5", 404 pages. The book is in very good condition. The board are well preserved with light soiling. The spine is sunned with wear to the edges. Newspaper clipping laid-in at the front hinge, and newspaper clipping adhered to the rear paste-down. Some small pencil notations to the textblock. The textblock is gently toned, largely clean, and complete. The binding is sound. "Confusion" is the first book published by James Gould Cozzens, who later went on to write the Pulitzer Prize winning novel "Guard of Honor".
