DJ lightly soiled and rubbed w/ several small chips to edges (mostly to top edge of rear panel). Approx. 2" closed tear at bottom edge of rear panel; approx. 1 3/4" closed tear at top edge of front flap. Spine and edges darkened; small, faint dampstain at top corner of front panel. Illust. w/ a b/w frontispiece of Thomas Bayard. Contents nice.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Fair to Good-. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
