There is a gift inscription on fep; otherwise I would grade it about like new. The frontis is protected by unmarked tissue; the title page is perfect. ALL plates, even the uncolured one, are perfect and protected by perfect tissues. All xxxvii plates there, of course.. xii prelims plus 72 pages plus the plates/ In brown boards that are perfect and NOT bumped. Note it has a dust jacket and that it is in surprisingly nice shape although with considerable nicks and closed splits around edges, all shown on the scans

Orange cloth boards with gilt titles; high quality paper. Contents are in very nice condition without tears, marks or folds; browning to tissue guards; all plates are in fine condition. Middle hinges a bit weak; boards have light edge wear. Dustjacket has chips, tears and soiling. Over all a very good copy.
