Harper & Brothers Publishers, New York and London, 1928. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. Passport (preface / introduction) by author. Blue coloured cloth covered boards with green coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. An Englishman's view of America in the 1920s. Softening and rubbing of the back strip edges with rubbing of the top book corners and lower book edges. Uniform light tanning of the text block edges and pages. The front hinge has cracked and the underlying webbing can be seen. Handling marks to the endpages. Remains of a sticker can be seen to the top left-hand corner of the rear panel. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [6], VII - XVI, [2], 3 - 276, [4 – further titles from publishing house] pages,. Deckled Front Edge (rough cut). Please refer to accompanying picture (s).
