London: Ernest Benn Ltd, 1924. First edition, 1924. Hardback. 30pp plus 35 plates. Grey boards with blue cloth spine. No jacket. Newspaper clippings related to Spencer tipped in at front and rear. Photograph of Spencer self-portrait as frontispiece. Introduction to Spencer and his art followed by 35 black & white photographs of Spencer's work Book in good condition. Boards generally rubbed and soiled. Corners bumped (lower corners more affected than upper). Cloth spine a little worn at extremities. Loss to corner of Plate 11 - affecting the margin only. Previous owner's name to ffep.
