Garden City Doubleday, Doran & Company, Inc. c1938. 1941, 1941. Hardcover. Very Good/Unknown. Small quarto, very good to near fine cond with lihgtly yellowing paper. Decorated endpapers. Tan tweed cloth with copper colored lettering. Story is based on her father's description of red leather-topped copper-toed boots he prized when he was a little boy in Northern Michigan. She also loved his tales of "tradin" at the store & with his schoolmates. Unpaginated. Includes a dustjacket laid in from book "Petite Suzanne" not this book, but 40's vintage it looks like.
