First edition. 4to. Beige cloth with blue lettering embossed on spine and blue numbers embossed on spine with a reversed blind stamp of those numbers above to look like racing numbers on a sailboat's mainsail, endpapers decorated with a sailboat race scene, frontispiece and illustrations in black and white, 240 pp. No dust jacket. Spine is sunned and blue embossing is fading, but bindings are sharp and quite solid. Text block is clean, bright and appears gently read. Very good condition.[b969].
