Text in French., Notes: In this fine work, which took 12 years to complete, various range of costumes and hair-styles, jewelry, period furnishings, weapons, furniture, are covered and has been a very rich source for artists and designers of various backgrounds. The usage of chromolithography has provided brilliant colors for the plates. There are 500 plates including 300 in color, gold and silver, and 200 in monochrome. Each part is preceded by a descriptive note.
