Hardcover with dustjacket first Modern Library printing as stated on copyright page, book is in excellent condition, mild tanning to the blank end-papers is the only remarkable flaw, the jacket has some wear on the front panel which can be viewed on our photo, the jacket is also price-clipped and has mild edge-wear at the spine-ends, a professional (removable) mylar cover is included, "The classic first-hand account of the slave system in the years preceding the Civil War," edited, with an introduction by Arthur M. Schlesinger .
