Sm. 4to. 24 cm, first edition, 56p., colour illustrated title-page, 24 illustrations including 9 full-page in sepia, former owner's inscription, fine in fine jacket. (Tr). Author, C. Fox Smith was "C.F.S." of Punch. A book of the English countryside written shortly after World War Two when the old village life of rural England still existed.
