London: George Allan Ruskin House, 1897 A good copy in the original decorative card boards illustrated with numerous designs by Paul Woodroffe. Woodroffe (1875-1954) specialised in book illustration and stained glass design. The card binding has an intricate design of fairies, flowers and leaves. It has browning to the top of the boards and some corner and edge wear. The decorative endpapers are present with slight browning to the free endpapers. Contents with half title with Ruskin House design; frontispiece; title page; and contents - typically a Woodroffe illustration, a poem, and then music. There is an advertisement page after the end of the work, which is a decorative title page advert for 'Ye Second Booke of Nursery Rhymes'. Contents are slightly shaken but generally very clean with the occasional light spot.
