Good condition: original red cloth binding, showing mild age toning, title on front cover, floral patterned end papers.
Many photos of early Los Angeles fire stations, with horse drawn equipment.
Portraits include: the mayor, the Fire Commissioners back to 1871, Chiefs, Captains, Lieutenants, Engine Drivers, Engineers, Hosemen, and Ladder men.

The images show cowboys on horse-back with a covered wagon; using poles to get the wagon up a steep trail; wagon and riders on a trail; wagon, horses and men in camp; view of a town with hills in the background and view of a farm or ranch. I was told by my seller that these images were with other images of Lakota Sioux, perhaps in Montana or Wyoming.
