New York and London: Harper & Brothers, 1908. First Edition. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7?" - 9?" tall. Author. Type: Hard Back First Printing. Harper & Brothers, 1908. Hardcover in Good Condition. No jacket. An historical novel of the author's native Brittany. Book states that the author is the author of "The Martyrdom of an Empress"--which is Marguerite Cunliffe-Owen. Four color plates-watercolors by the author, Breton scenes-inserted. Frontis tissue protected. Gray cloth binding with paper panel affixed to spine, black gothic titled. Boards scuffed, with white spotting on right side, edges rubbed, light scuffing on some corners and spine head/tail. Sewn binding tight and solid. Top edge gilt. Fore-edge and bottom edge rough cut. The internals are toned but quite clean, no marks, no tears, no creasing, not fragile. Nice solid volume, even though the boards are scuffed and marked-very nice watercolours and clean, unmarekd internals. 320 pages. 5.75 x 8.5 inches. Harper & Brothers, New York and London, 1908.
