Removed from ANNUAL REPORT OF THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTION, FOR THE YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 1902. VG. In plastic report covers. The Hunterian oration delivered on Thursday, February 14, 1901, at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. From the introduction: "Gentlemen: We have assembled here today in order that we may commemorate the merits of John Hunter and such other persons whose labors have contributed to the extensions of our knowledge in comparative anatomy, physiology, or surgery." And this is from a footnote: "The chart [here made into several plates] accompanying the text of this oration was compiled from photographs of casts and of skulls in the museum of the Royal College of Surgeons in England." .
