Gift inscription by author on front free endpaper to fellow author and friend Katherine Newlin Burt (Western novelist), which reads "To Mrs. Struthers Burt, in good faith, not with the expectation of rereading, but to commemorate a really good time on shipbound. Steward Edward White". Black cloth covers with faded gilt title lettering on front cover, black lettering on spine. Cover corners are bumped and rubbed, edges rubbed, scuffing and soiling to cover faces, white marks on back cover, wear to joints, spine is faded from sun exposure, spine ends are bent and fraying. Yellow top page edge. Front hinge is broken, back hinge loose. Endpapers browning. Stains from gift inscription on back of front free endpaper. Title page and acknowledgements are separated and removed from book. Foxing spots and some small chips to page edges, rest of interior is clean. Book in Good condition.. Gift Inscription By Author. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. Size: Approx. 5 1/4" x 7 3/4". Philosophy.
