International criminal and bank robber Eddie Guerin, "The Fox" grew up in Chicago, made his way to Europe and landed in the French penal colony of Devils Island, from which he successfully escaped. Black linen cloth with gilt titles. Mild fray at the crown, very light foxing to preliminaries/edges, else near fine, clean, bright, unworn in very good dust jacket with chipping along the top edge, spine panel darkened. An attractive copy. Very scarce in dust jacket. . 1st. Hard. Very Good Plus/Very Good. 8vo.
