Issued over a two year period to subscribers and not available for sale in the shops the collection features all of Christie's novels and short story collections up to 1970, each volume being an omnibus of three titles. With a new foreword by the author "I am very glad indeed there is to be this distinguished edition of my books and I hope my many loyal readers will appreciate it, and enjoy re-reading those of my books which are their favourites" (Foreword). 24 volumes, octavo. Attractively bound in recent tan morocco, crimson and green morocco labels, raised bands, roll to boards gilt, marbled endpapers, gilt edges. An excellent set.
