Bennett, Edwin S.. 123 pp; plus 71 b & w plates and one map; comprehensive account of one of the most dramatic events of the Revolutionary War in Westchester Country that took place in 1780 when British major John andre, in a conspiracy with Benedict Arnold, criss-crossed the county with the plans of West Point inhis boot. This is the complete reprint of the 1899 edition in somewhat rearranged form. Illustratins which appeared in the original edition interspersed with the text havew been placed at the end and have been numbered and referenced to the proper page text pages; additional illustrstions and charts appear throughout the text; dj has small chip to top left corner of front panel; has minor creasing to same edge on front and rear panels; has small closed tear to top right corner of front panel and is browned on edges.
