Cloth spine over drab paper covered boards with printed paper spine and cover labels. This being number 1486. 165 pages, containing a bibliography of George Gissing. A compilation of essays, originally written as introductions to various Dickens novels, only six of which having previously appeared in print. Scarce dust-jacket shows mild chipping and age wear but is overall good. A clean, square, unmarked copy with only faint marginal toning to text block. A near fine copy in a good dust-jacket. Podeschi H208. First Edition. Cloth Spine Over Boards. Near Fine/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
