New York: Greenberg, Publisher, Inc., 1924. The original edition of this important monograph, limited to 1500 numbered copies. Cloth spine over drab paper covered boards with printed paper spine and cover labels. This being number 1486. 165 pages, containing a bibliography of George Gissing. A compilation of essays, originally written as introductions to various Dickens novels, only six of which having previously appeared in print. Scarce dust-jacket shows mild chipping and age wear but is overall good. A clean, square, unmarked copy with only faint marginal toning to text block. A near fine copy in a good dust-jacket. Podeschi H208. First Edition. Cloth Spine Over Boards. Near Fine/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
