Light wear at the corners of the dustjacket with a few small nicks around the edges; price clipped; aside from Terry Shortt's signature, no interior markings. Terence Shortt joined the Royal Ontario Museum in 1930 and spent the next 46 years playing an important role in the advancement of ornithology in field research and as an artist of exceptional insight. He led expeditions all over the world and his art became very important to many of the wildlife artists who came later, including Glen Loates, Robert Bateman and George McLean.
