Quarto. First edition. 143pp. Profusely illustrated with black and white photographs. Original cloth, white lettering and photo to upper board. In original dust wrapper. Black endpapers. Inscribed to title page by the author with love to Clare Throckmorton. Loosely inserted are a typed quote from the first line of "The Horses and the Angels" by Agnes Nemes Nagy and an inscribed card to Clare: Botticelli Angel of the Annunciation, from Hungary.
"There is a small island in the Danube, near Rackeve. Its name is Angel Island - maybe not by chance..." From the introduction. Karoly Hemzo, photographer, was born in Budapest in 1928. A scarce title.
