Albany, New York: Luther Tucker, 1848. First Edition. Tabloid--unbound. Good. Complete original single issue, quarto 11 1/4" tall, pages 329 to 360 (32 pages) saddle stitch, self wraps. A good copy overall, paper moderately yellowed but still supple, with moderate edge wear and soiling (primarily to the cover sheet and fold, some marginal damp staining and light foxing, interior fairly clean, with the primary damp stain to the back cover sheet with some paper loss to that sheet

Original wrappers, 7 x 11 inches. 7 seperate issues, Jan, Feb (No. 2), Mar (No. 3), Jun (No. 6), Aug (No. 8), Nov (No. 11) and Dec (No. 12), all from 1851. Misfolds, minor staining and overall soiling. Single pin or thread sewn holding leaves together in each issue. Wraps. "To improve the Soil and the Mind" on the masthead. A small group of a fairly scarce periodical.
