Although it looks like a children's picture book, it is not. It is, in rhyme, the story of a nephew going to visit his elderly great aunt at Christmas time. He starts out trying to justify not wanting to see someone he thinks of as vigorous, now infirm. When he does go visit he is overwhelmed by the holiday decor, including cards he made as a child and homemade cookies he remembers fondly from his youth. He and his aunt enjoy a lively chat and a cup of Christmas tea. Perhaps this book would be a gentle nudge to someone who would really brighten a elder's day by a visit and who would brighten their own day at the same time. Or perhaps you could bring along the book as a gift when you visit. There is a little wear and a tiny tear to the "autographed copy" sticker on the front of book.
