All uniformly bound in contemporary half tan calf with gilt-decorated raised bands and contrasting gilt-lettered labels over marbled boards. 1794, 1795, 1801, 1806, 1807, 1821, 1824 and 1825; vols. 7 & 8 bound together, vols. 15 & 16 bound together, vols. 23 & 24 bound together, vols. 25 & 26 bound together, vols 48, 51 & 52 bound in separate volumes. As stated good margins - leaf size 144 x 236 mm, for instance instruction for cancelled leafs printed in the upper margin are retained e.g. p. for plate 532. Binding very good with light rubbing and wear only. Contents clean and tight, plates generally very clean and bright. Original end-papers, no inscriptions. An excellent broken run of this most famous of all botanical periodicals. Vols. 7 and 8 are by Curtis alone, whilst all the others are by Sims. [Nissen BBI 2350]. First Edition. Half Leather.
