House is a cofounder with Siebel of his latest venture, Siebel Sysems, Inc. The book, with an introduction by Charles R. Schwab, has a number of strong points: it gives an excellent overview of how the Internet opens up business possibilities, how it is changing the market place, and how to leverage opportunities on the web. The flaw of the book is crystallized in the subtitle; while the start-up mail-order house may benefit, Joe the barber and Bill the plumber may not find anything useful here. The book has much to recommend it for information technology collection .
