About This Item

London, Iliffe; New York: American Elsevier Pub. Co., 1969. Ex-Library. Hardcover. Good-/None. Behavioural sciences series Blue boards with gilt titling on spine, lightly soiled and rubbed. Front pastedown is scarred where bookplate was removed. University library stamp covered with a white label on copyright page. Interior is otherwise unmarked. Binding is sound. No dustjacket. 8vo. BOOK INFO: 'It is unfortunate that many of the books on cybernetics which have been published fall into one of three categories. One type treats the reader as a moron who is to be astounded and so, it is hoped, impressed. Another treats the reader as though he were a potential employer who is to be baffled and so, it is hoped, impressed (and also if possible, be made apprehensive and therefore generous). The third type of book includes the word cybernetics in the title, but inside it apparently deals with an entirely different subject. It is hoped that the present book cannot be pigeon-holed into any of these categories.' (from the preface). Includes bibliography and subject index. Cybernetics

For more than 20 years, proprietors Andris Danielsons and Joanne Moranville have prided themselves on offering titles that are fairly priced and meticulously evaluated for condition. Our brick-and-mortar location stands at the heart of the arts and cultural community of historic downtown Easton, Pa., where we welcome neighbors and new friends to peruse the stacks of books shelved in two stories and lining the dining room of our top-rated coffee house.
