Chapel Hill: University of North Carolina Press, 1975. Hardcover. Good/Very Good. 6 1/2" x 9 1/2. GOOD / DUST JACKET VERY GOOD. Former library book. xxi, 248 pp. Pages are clean and unmarked except for typical library treatments, which are confined to the front endpaper and acknowledgements page. Includes 100+ b/w illustrations (photos, drawings, diagrams, maps). Front and back hinges have been repaired; back hinge repair is beginning to separate but binding appears solid; no loose pages. Boards covered in grey fabric, gilt titling on spine. Shelfworn on bottom edges, top/tail of spine, top right corners. Dust jacket, featuring photos of ancient carvings, is slightly bumped at bottom right corners, top/tail of spine but has otherwise been protected by its library mylar sleeve, keeping it in quite good condition.
