Adventures and travels of this 17th century mariner, who was chaplain aboard "H.M.S. Assistance", "Bristol" and "Royal Oak", 1675-1679. These involve actions against Mediterranean and Barbary pirates with Sir John Narborough. This is the first printing of Teonge's diary, which went out of print until the 20th century. Original marbled boards with new calf backstrip and corners. Spine title and rules in gold. Bookplate of the Royal Artillery Library on front pastedown.
