About This Item
London: Printed for J. Harris..., 1807. FIRST EDITION. Small 8vo, measuring 125 x 95 mms. pp. 66, including half-title, 6 blank leaves after last page of text, 32 woodcut headpieces (one for each "story"), original decorative boards, with paper label on front cover and iconic illustration on rear cover; spine defective and missing about three quarters of the paper cover, but a decent copy. It almost looks convincing, but this is probably the Leadenhall Press facsimile of 1900.
