London:: Macmillan and Co.,. Hardback. 594pp. Illustrations by J. Priestman Atkinson. Half bound in maroon leather with raised bands and decorative gilt borders to compartments and gilt titles to spine. Marbled papers to boards. Marbled endpapers and marbled page edges. Leather to spine is a little faded and surface scuffed. A little worn to spine ends and corners. rubbed to edges. Some heavy tanning to prelims. Tissue guard to heavily tanned. Text is clean. First prelim has been cut out rather jaggedly. Some small patches of sticker to a couple of places on back board. Tight and square. Good copy . Hardback. 1888.
